FinPlus is essentially a compounded drug designed for hair loss. The drug is a blend of vitamins, herbs, nutrients, and Finasteride, and it comes in pill form. For many men, this is an effective way to stop hair loss in its tracks and even regrow some hair as well.
Unfortunately, other than the side effects often associated with Finasteride, MasterPharm, LLC announced in April 2020 that it accidentally sent out a bad batch of FinPlus to customers in South Florida that was contaminated with a high level of Minoxidil, which is another drug associated with stopping hair loss. Minoxidil is also a powerful heart medication, and unfortunately, many people who took this bad batch were subjected to serious medical issues as a result. The specific batch recalled involves a lot of 1.25-milligram capsules that have a Beyond Use Date of August 25, 2020.
In a statement issued by MasterPharm, LLC, the company states, “Consumption of undeclared minoxidil would be expected to result in low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, and salt and water retention causing swelling. Consequently, patients may be at risk for developing heart failure or other heart damage. Excess fluid between the heart and the sac surrounding the heart has also been reported in association with minoxidil use. MasterPharm, LLC. has received 33 reports of increased heart rate, retention of water, dizziness, and low blood pressure.” Some of the additional symptoms you may feel if you’ve ingested any medication from this bad batch are as follows:
These symptoms can lead to serious medical issues down the line, and, in the worst cases, death. This is why if you are experiencing any of these symptoms after consuming medication from that contaminated batch, you should speak with a Florida Finasteride FinPlus hair growth injury lawyer today.
