Trampoline Accident causes Bounce House Wrongful Death

Sadly, our office has learned that a three-year-old little girl lost her life while playing on an inflatable trampoline. The toddler was killed when the inflatable bounce house she was jumping on somehow exploded underneath her shooting her into the air before she fell violently into the sand. Paramedics attempted to save her and she was brought to a nearby hospital but could not be saved. The coroner’s report confirmed she died of traumatic brain injury from this wrongful death explosion accident.

This tragic accident occurred on July 1, 2018 in Norfolk, Great Britain. Recently, legal proceedings revealed that the trampoline had been inspected just a few days prior to this wrongful death bounce house accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family who simply wanted to spend a nice day with their little girl. No parent should ever have to go through this.

Inflatable parks and bounce house rental businesses are required to exercise reasonable care in inspecting and setting up their inflatable trampolines. While partaking in activity on a trampoline or inflatable bounce house carries inherent danger, the use of a bounce house does not mean patrons are accepting the unreasonable danger of explosion risk as in this instance.
